Seiberlich Quintet

Isolation Suite is the debut album by the Seiberlich Quintet, featuring original compositions inspired by classical composition, the New Orleans Brass Band tradition, and modern improvisation.

Jensen Engineering

Jensen Engineering is an original, multi-instrumental musical project created by Jonathan Seiberlich. The band's namesake comes from an old company (owned by Jonathan's Grandfather) that burned to the ground. The cast of this ensemble is ever-changing, and live performances feature a wide array of sonic textures. In JE's debut album, Jonathan has pulled from his eclectic musical influences to create something honest and unique.

Jazz Mafia

In the year 2000, trombonist, bassist, composer, arranger and producer Adam Theis co-founded Jazz Mafia – an eclectic artist collective of forward-thinking and accomplished players in Electro, Hip-Hop, World, Classical, and Jazz. Twenty years in the making, Jazz Mafia is a prolific staple of the quintessential San Francisco sound, uniting creative and accomplished Bay Area instrumentalists, vocalists, MCs, composers, and arrangers.

The collective quickly garnered a reputation for its collaborative and risk-taking spirit, and over the years has worked with Roy Ayers, Lyrics Born, Zion-I, Rebelution, Latyrx, Galactic, Ledesi, Blackalicious, and Jackie Greene, to name a few. Recently, the collective performed sold out residencies at the SFJAZZ Center and served as the house band in The Soiled Dove – its large-scale cirque-inspired collaboration with The Vau de Vire Society. Jazz Mafia has also recently collaborated with the Oakland Symphony at Paramount Theatre of the Arts, as well as with GRAMMY-winning composer Mason Bates and his Mercury Soul project at the Kennedy Center in DC. Jazz Mafia also curates musical experiences for Stanford University, Oakland Art & Soul Festival, and many other presenters.

Nomad Session

Nomad Session is San Francisco’s premiere wind and brass octet. Bringing wind instruments to the forefront, Nomad represents members of every woodwind and brass family (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, french horn, trumpet, trombone, and tuba) and is the first to use this instrumentation as a platform for a professional chamber ensemble rather than a one time project. This hybrid ensemble of woodwinds and brass has caught the attention of some of the Bay Area’s most creative composers, and in the last year Nomad has commissioned seven new pieces for wind octet. Using the extreme versatility of their instruments, Nomad Session introduces audiences to a world of new musical opportunities by commissioning contemporary repertoire that further establishes the wind octet as a widely accepted chamber music genre, performing inspiring arrangements of classical and popular music ranging from Holst’s Planets Suite to Thriller by Michael Jackson, and exploring innovative performance experiences both on stage and in a park near you.

In keeping with its name, Nomad Session started a series of Pop-Up Outreach Concerts where musicians “wander” around local parks and establishments in order to bring music to the community. Drawing large audiences throughout the Bay Area, recent pop-up performances have taken place in Golden Gate Park, Lake Merritt, Winter Walk SF in Union Square, Dolores Park, Bernal Heights, Castro Art Walk, and at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.

Their current season highlights three ground breaking commissions by Ryan BrownRoger Zare, and Jonathan Russellin addition to brand new orchestral arrangements reduced to wind octet, and the ensemble's quintessential Pop-Up Outreach Concerts throughout the Bay Area.

Circus Bella

With gusto and daring, humanity and heart, we connect with our audiences by way of thrilling feats, engaging camaraderie and the heartbeat of a live band! We delight in showing audiences what people can do, in ways they haven’t seen before. Audiences are bedazzled, lifted up, and join in the celebration of the heart and soul of circus: community, joy, and achieving the impossible. Standing on the shoulders of the beloved Pickle Family Circle, we are now the Bay Area’s premiere one-ring circus, curated in the traditions of earlier eras with forward-thinking sensibilities and flair. Like the word Bella in our name, we celebrate the beauty of the circus art form and the beauty of what humans can do together. We take pride in unifying people by presenting an experience so joyous and magical that it keeps children of all ages coming back again and again.

Brass Magic

Instead of the traditional New Orleans Second Line brass band approach that their instrumentation would suggest, Brass Magic merges hip-hop, rock, R&B, soul, world music, and electronic dance music into a contemporary sound that brings audiences to their feet.

Started in 2010 by trombonist Danny Lubin-Laden, Brass Magic originally existed as a casual assemblage of musician friends to play Lubin-Laden’s compositions at house parties in the Bay Area. With a move to Brooklyn and recruitment of classmates from The New School to perform around New York City, the band developed solid performance experience and a fiery book of originals. Moving back to the West Coast and settling in Oakland in 2013, Brass Magic have developed a hard-won following for their raucous live shows around the Bay Area at night clubs and impromptu busking gigs on city streets.

While holding down a weekly residency at San Francisco’s endeared Madrone Art Bar, Brass Magic has performed at the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, SFJAZZ Center, and shared the stage at The Independent, Great American Music Hall, The Chapel, The New Parish, The Echoe (LA) with the California HoneydropsRebelutionMan ManLandladyBells AtlasZongo Junction and Moon Hooch.

With a strong commitment to music education, Brass Magic taught at the renowned Stanford Jazz Workshop (3-day class), Cazidero Music Camp, California Jazz Conservatory (formerly The Jazz School).
